Peacefully located at the foot of the Chiltern hills In an  area of outstanding natural beauty yet only 3 miles from the M40 motorway and half mile from the town of Watlington, Oxfordshire (the smallest in the country).

The site offers views across the open Oxfordshire countryside, with good walking and cycling in the immediate area. Chiltern Heritage Trail: North West Way for example  The National Ridgeway Trail runs alongside the campsite making it an ideal overnight stop for those walking the whole trail.  There are excellent photo opportunities with Red Kites flying overhead and plenty of other wildlife to be seen.

Local pubs, restaurants and shops are all within half mile. A good base for visiting the historic City of Oxford (18 miles), Windsor, Legoland, Thorpe Park, The River Thames at Henley (10 miles) and Marlow (15 miles), or day trips to London with London Marylebone Station approx 40 mins from High Wycombe.

Set in the splendid Dorset countryside.and only 10 minutes walk along the footpath to the main bus route from Swanage to Poole. Lots of lovely beaches for the family,

The seaside town of Swanage is 9 miles away, Studlan beach (9 miles), the historic Corfu Castle 5 miles, Poole 6 miles, Bournmouth 10 miles, Weymouth 16 miles and Dorchester 14 miles

Good walks and plenty of fresh air. For short walks Try the public house walk from The Silent Woman or the Wareham two rivers walk. For more serious walking how about 7 mile along THE LAWRENCE OF ARABIA TRAIL

Organised and run by the Club’s Regions, DA’s and Special Interest Sections, Temporary Holiday Sites offer alternative pitches to commercial sites by utilising land exclusively available to the Club.  Stewarded by experienced members who are always at hand to help with the friendly approach the CCC is famous for.
